Lauren Kobley is an honors journalism student studying at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in Phoenix, Arizona; she’s also pursuing a minor in social work. Lauren is expected to graduate a year earlier than her class and plans to continue her education with the accelerated master's program at the Cronkite School.

She is a previous reporter at azcentral / The Arizona Republic, Cronkite News, Fountain Hills Times and State Press. Lauren's work focuses on topics ranging from technology, art, music, community engagement, politics, social justice, education, construction, COVID-19 and more.

Lauren’s goal is to tell stories about people in the local and global community and be an outlet to share others’ voices, stories, and passions.

Working toward her goal of being an outlet for others, she created this website as her thesis project for Barrett, the Honors College at ASU. Her goal is to shed light on The Silent Epidemic of mental health issues amongst journalists, particularly those who are trauma reporters and those whose work receives notable amounts of backlash.
